Research Grant exploring habitat influences on curiosity and cognition awarded by the Kone Foundation

In December 2021, my application to continue the studies on primate curiosity was awarded a three-year grant by the Finnish Kone Foundation. The Kone Foundation rewards especially bold and ground-breaking research initiatives from both the sciences and the arts. It also holds a community of grantees that have the extraordinary opportunity to occasionally interact over the Saari residence in Finland. In this study we will evaluate if cognitive traits, like curiosity, underlies the successful adaptation of vervet monkeys to anthropogenic habitats. Eyes out for starting dates next year!
